The webTV provided a sophisticated platform for them to promote Malaysia using high quality content streaming continuously across the Internet to present the viewer with the best possible experience using online video.
UCSI is a University College operating in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. They receive many overseas students. The webTV is a useful tool to promote the university and provide a practical platform for their school of communication. Currently, the students do all broadcasting, resulting in viral video marketing within the school’s webTV.
The FAM webTV was launched in August 2007. Initially started as nostalgia to broadcast matches from the Merdeka Tournament of the 60s to 80s, to the delight of local football audiences. After getting lots of hits through the webTV, a local telco provider, Celcom sponsored a premium webTV to broadcast the matches from the current Merdeka Tournament. Later, Celcom was joined by HP and Aruba Technology taking advantage of the webTV applications advertising benefits.
